• Fact. Sandford Manor which was purchased in 1824 by the Imperial Gas Company, in order to start erecting their gas-holders. In 1844 the house was divided into two residences and modernized. The resident was Daniel McMinn who was manager of the Counting House and Stores Department of the gas-works
